Welcome to St Saviour’s School.

Welcome to St. Saviour’s Church of England Primary School and thank you for taking an interest in our wonderful school.

We are a 2-form entry school based in the heart of Walthamstow,  a culturally rich and diverse borough which was once home to celebrated achievers such as Harry Kane and William Morris.

Our school forms a part of an academy trust, Genesis Education Trust, that is one of the highest achieving academy trusts in England. We collaborate, share, celebrate and work well together with the other schools in the trust but firmly retain our own individuality to serve our local communities.

The school vision:  Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way that you think – Romans 12:2 NLT

Through transformation away from conformed thinking, we teach our children to become well-rounded and aspirational, leading them to live a successful life and becoming universal leaders through the teaching of global competencies.

We hope that our children grow to become ethical individuals directed by our Christian values which results in them being moral-led ambitious learners.  Our vision means that by the time our children leave at eleven, they will be confident, independent learners, with enquiring minds, have a lifelong love of learning and a thoughtful and considerate approach to life.

At St Saviour’s we have great children, amazing teachers, fantastic resources, a beautiful building and we live amongst a wonderful community. We want to help everyone learn. We will always try our best to serve our local community.

As headteacher, I am passionate about providing our children an array of enrichment opportunities and expose them to unique opportunities. Some of these include horse-riding, kayaking, archery, fencing and much more. We are also working hard to establish global links to enable all of our
children to become global citizens with strong knowledge and understanding of the world.

We work hard to give your children the best opportunities which means that as a trust, we invest in our staff with continued professional development. We believe that we are all life-long learners and want to ensure that our staff are fully equipped in providing your children the best opportunities. The school site is blessed with beautiful grounds which house our three alpacas. The Year 6 children also have their own dedicated building which helps prepare them for life in secondary school.

As a church school, we have always sought to express our Christian ethos in practical ways that make a difference. This has included a wide range of courageous advocacy from our children where they have actively supported causes including climate change, sustainability, poverty and
homelessness. We are proud of our children’s efforts and their responsibility towards wider issues and this is something that we strongly encourage.

Our school values:

Faith, Forgiveness, Respect, Truth, Love, Tenacity and Serenity

are associated with our school vision and underpin the ethos of the school. They are intended to include every interaction in school life and are lived by the whole school community.

Thank you for showing an interest in the school and please do not hesitate to contact the school if you require any further information or would like a visit.
