Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to St. Saviour’s Church of England Primary School.

We are a 2-form entry school based in the heart of Walthamstow; a culturally rich and diverse borough which was once home to celebrated achievers such as William Morris and Harry Kane.

We are one of three schools who form Genesis Education Trust – one of the highest achieving academy trusts in England. We collaborate, share, celebrate and work well together with the other schools in the trust but firmly retain our own individuality to serve our local communities.

‘Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way that you think.’ – Romans 12:2 –
Our school vision is rooted in the Christian narrative from Romans 12. Children are encouraged to break away from conforming and to look at the world through God’s eyes; using their gifts to transform themselves, others and the community. Our vision is for the common good of the whole community and drives our commitment in ensuring that all children flourish as set out in the Church of England document, ‘Valuing All God’s Children’.

Through transformation away from conformed thinking, we teach our children to become well-rounded and aspirational, leading them to live a successful life and becoming universal leaders through the teaching of global competencies. We recognise that little voices can have a big impact and our Young Transformers Programme offers children regular opportunities to develop personally and apply learned skills through acts of advocacy. We are proud of our children’s efforts and their responsibility towards wider issues and this is something that we strongly encourage.

Our school values: Faith, Forgiveness, Respect, Truth, Love, Tenacity and Serenity underpin our school vision and the ethos of the school. They include every interaction in school life and are lived by the whole school community. We hope that our children grow to become ethical individuals directed by our Christian values which results in them being moral-led ambitious learners.  Our vision means that by the time our children leave at eleven, they will be confident, independent learners, with enquiring minds, have a lifelong love of learning and a thoughtful and considerate approach to life.

At St Saviour’s we have incredible children, amazing teachers, fantastic resources, a beautiful building and we live amongst a wonderful community which we strive to serve. Our school site is blessed with beautiful grounds which house our three alpacas (Captain, Marvin and Marshall), chickens and a Forest School. Each year group enjoys sessions with a trained Forest School leader where the children develop a range of skills, build confidence and self esteem and have lots of fun immersing themselves in the outdoors!

We believe passionately in the importance of strong relationships between home and school and take every opportunity to work in partnership with our families. Together we can provide the best possible support for our students to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens and resilient and successful people. In our globally diverse and competitive world, we are passionate about ensuring that ,alongside an outstanding curriculum, our children are provided with unique experiences and opportunities for enrichment to ensure that they reach their full potentials.

Thank you for showing an interest in our wonderful school and please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information or would like a visit.
